After school club
We offer a carefully structured programme of creative sessions designed to support the development of children’s creative skills, confidence and emotional wellbeing. Sessions are led in a calm, inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore ideas, take creative risks and express themselves without pressure or comparison.
Each term follows a clear creative theme, with activities thoughtfully planned to build week by week. Children are introduced to a range of artists, techniques and materials, allowing them to develop skills gradually while gaining confidence in their own creative choices. This sense of progression helps children feel secure and motivated, knowing what to expect while still experiencing variety and excitement in each session.
Children work with a wide range of materials and processes, including drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media. Activities are adapted to suit different ages, abilities and learning styles, and children are supported to work at their own pace. Emphasis is placed on exploration and process rather than finished outcomes, helping to reduce anxiety and build resilience.
Every child is provided with their own sketchbook at the start of the term. This becomes a personal creative space for experimentation, idea development and reflection, and often serves as a visual record of their creative journey and growing confidence.
Sessions are booked on a termly basis, aligned with the school year: Autumn, Spring and Summer. This structure supports continuity, relationship-building and deeper creative engagement across the year.
